PAs 'under more pressure than ever' when booking travel
PrivateFly.com, the online private jet booking network, has reported an increase in enquiries from personal assistants for its online price comparison services for private jet charter.
The team is seeing executive assistants under more pressure than ever to secure the best price on their boss's travel – while also being squeezed for time, due to cuts in resource.
Carol Cork, marketing director of PrivateFly.com, comments: "In the current economic climate, PAs are being asked to secure the best possible prices on travel, but are also under more time pressure than ever before – supporting more executives, or having additional responsibilities included in their role due to job cuts elsewhere.
"We are seeing a clear increase in demand from executive assistants for our services as our PA-friendly platform gives the ability to get instant market price estimates; find closest airports; to search a network of thousands of fully accredited aircraft for global private jet or helicopter charter; and a dedicated team available 24/7. This saves hours of research time – and gives the confidence of securing the best market price.
"And while PAs regularly book private jets for their time-starved bosses, most will not have experienced the benefits of this mode of transport themselves. To reward today's pressurised PA, we are offering two of them the chance to enjoy their own private flight."
PrivateFly.com has partnered with Jamie Oliver's restaurant, Fifteen Cornwall, to offer executive assistants the chance to win a luxury VIP day trip to Cornwall, by private aircraft, including lunch at the award-winning restaurant in Watergate Bay.
The prize, for two winners and their guests, includes day return private charter flights in an executive King Air aircraft from London to Newquay - with champagne served en route; seamless ground transfers from the aircraft steps to the restaurant; a three course-lunch including wine at Fifteen Cornwall; and time after lunch to enjoy the surrounds of Watergate Bay.
Cork continues: "This prize demonstrates how private aircraft charter can maximise time at the destination without wasting time at the airport. The VIP trip will be a full day out and allow our winners to truly relax, knowing that their aircraft will be waiting when they are ready to go home. Today's executive PA is under more pressure than ever juggling the needs of others, so it is great to offer them this chance to enjoy a luxury day for themselves."
