-Following its highest ever sales month in May 2012, the private jet booking service launches in France, Germany and central Europe-

12 June 2012

Private jet booking service PrivateFly.com has launched in France, Germany and central Europe, offering dedicated local web platforms, multilingual operations teams and a regional sales appointment covering Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

This follows a record-breaking sales month in May 2012 for the business, which was named the fastest growing private jet charter company in 20111. The company re-launched its UK website in April, with a dedicated iPad app to sit alongside its existing mobile applications.

Translated and localised versions of the platforms are being supported by strategic sales and marketing activities to develop tailored customer communications across each new market, and by establishing partner relationships for third party sales. In the UK, PrivateFly provides private jet booking technology for partners including Addison Lee; Manchester Airports Group; and lastminute.com.

PrivateFly's CEO and founder Adam Twidell, commented: "We already arrange private jet charter for many international customers, but PrivateFly’s translated platforms and multilingual teams now allow our European expansion to fully take off. Our focus is initially on the established French and German markets, and on central European countries which are experiencing greater growth in demand - such as Poland which saw 13 per cent annual growth in business aviation traffic in 20112. We will extend our reach to other countries later in the year".

PrivateFly's chairman Richard Carrick added: "PrivateFly's experience in the UK has proven the success of our model - transforming private jet charter through innovative technology. We are looking forward to bringing the same enhanced response speed, price and ease of booking to our new European customers".

About PrivateFly:

PrivateFly is an online booking network that makes it quicker, easier and more cost effective to arrange private jet charter. With over 7000 aircraft registered worldwide, PrivateFly is the only online aggregator for private jet charter in Europe.

PrivateFly combines online efficiency and transparency with offline expertise to offer a full-service VIP charter service to direct customers and partners. The bespoke software has been created in-house specifically to meet the needs of charter customers and operators. In 2010 PrivateFly launched the world's first iPhone application to provide instant private jet pricing on a mobile phone and now offers the equivalent application for the Android platform.

PrivateFly.com was awarded Website of The Year in Flight International's 2011 'Webbies' awards, which recognise online excellence across the whole of the aviation industry - the judges describing it as "the iTunes" of aviation. It was also announced as one of the Smarta 100 companies in 2010, by a judging panel including Dragon’s Den’s Deborah Meaden and other leading entrepreneurs, such as Bebo founder Michael Birch.

Founded in 2008, PrivateFly is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. In September 2011 it announced successful investment fundraising of £2 million, enabling international expansion plans and further enhancements to its technology platform.
