With Milan the major city in the region, the airport of choice for the private jet traveller heading to the lakes is Milan Linate Airport. Situated around 60km to the south of Lake Como, the airport - open 24 hours per day - connects many of the region's popular destinations in an hour or two by road. For the ultimate views on arrival, you can transfer to a boat or helicopter for the final approach.
Milan Malpensa airport to the west of Milan is also used for corporate jets, used by those connecting from international airline transfers.
