How much does a private jet cost?
It's the first question everyone asks about private aviation and private jet charter. The cost of a private jet trip is a variable one and there are several different ways to access private jet travel (including on-demand charter, private jet cards, fractional ownership or outright ownership). Most first-time flyers choose to fly by on-demand charter, whereby you book a private jet for a specific trip, for a one-off price.
On-demand private jet charter pricing depends on a number of factors including the type of aircraft, length of trip, airport landing fees, and time between flights. It's also a fragmented market, so there are market-driven factors that impact the price, including supply and demand.
We've put together some example routes and typical aircraft pricing below to give you can idea of the scale of private jet prices for on-demand charter. PrivateFly also offers Jet Card and Jet Account memberships, which give enhanced benefits to those who fly more frequently.

Private jet prices & City Pairs
Private jet charter prices are calculated based on a combination of factors including aircraft hourly rate, flight distance, flight route, aircraft availability and aircraft positioning. Prices for every flight can vary based on these factors.
If you're looking for fixed private jet prices then we do offer 'City Pairs' which offer guaranteed prices on key European routes.
Empty legs are flights where the aircraft has been booked for a flight, but needs to reposition to or from another airport for the booked flight. The aircraft may need to return to its home base or another airport without a passenger on board. You can book empty legs or sectors at a discount from the standard private jet charter price, but you have to be prepared to be flexible. If the booked flight changes then your empty leg may also change. See our empty legs for the latest available flights and prices.
Jet Card & Jet Account
The PrivateFly Jet Card and Jet Account each offer a more personalised and seamless way to book private flights, if you fly more frequently. With the Jet Card, you receive fixed hourly rates and guaranteed availability for your chosen category of accredited aircraft, selected from our family fleet and premium operators. Our Jet Account gives you streamlined booking and 'fly further credits' for your private jet charters, based on best market options at the time of each flight.
