Alicante Airport History

Alicante Airport, which was formerly known as El Altet, opened in 1967. As passenger traffic and demand increased, they constructed a new passenger terminal in the early 1970s.

With passengers ever increasing, Alicante Airport was completely refurbished in the 1990s.

It’s most recent update in 2011, involved the addition of a new terminal (Terminal N) to the airport, enabling them to meet the growing demand.
