SCHAUMBURG REGIONAL AIRPORT HISTORY
The airport was officially built in 1959, where it was named Roselle Field. The U.S. Navy also used the area as an optional landing field during The Second World War before the airport was officially built.
The runway was extended in 1965, and then replaced with a longer asphalt runway in 1995. The current terminal was constructed towards the end of the millennium (1998).
