Lyon Bron Airport History
The airport was established in May 1910, and is home to the opening of the École Lyonnaise d'Aviation civile, Lyon’s first flight training centre.
During the First World War, the airport was used by the French army to test its new aircraft.
In 2012, Lyon Bron became the first French airport to join the NBAA, the US National Business Aviation Association, and is now known as a major European business aviation airport on the American market.
Development work in 2015 allowed Lyon Bron to provide maintenance services for larger business jets.
