Opening in 1931 Haneda Airport became the largest civil airport in Japan. Under US occupation (1945-1952) the airport was used as a civilian and military base and used by United States Navy flight nurses during the Korean War.
Modern day Haneda Airport’s terminal one includes a shopping centre, six story restaurant, in its centre section terminal one, nicknamed “big bird” facilitates conference rooms and a large rooftop observation deck includes an open rooftop café.
Terminal two features Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu, along with open rooftop restaurant, terminal two has a six story shopping complex with restaurants.
