WESTCHESTER COUNTY AIRPORT HISTORY
Westchester County Airport was built during World War II in 1942 in order to protect New York City and Rye Lake. In late 1949, the airport had its first scheduled airline flight.
Today, the airport is one of the most active business aviation facilities in the nation.
