Skyjet is now PrivateFly
Skyjet is now known as PrivateFly. Here we explain why, and what this means for our clients.
Why is Skyjet being re-branded as PrivateFly?
Skyjet's parent company OneSky (part of Directional Aviation) acquired on-demand private jet service PrivateFly in 2018. One of the most highly-respected and innovative brands in private aviation, PrivateFly has offices in both Europe and US, plus dedicated booking platforms across more than 13 other countries.
PrivateFly and SkyJet are both leading on-demand brokers offering similar services. And now the two companies are joining forces under the PrivateFly brand, forming one of the largest on-demand platforms in the world - within one of the world’s largest aviation families, Directional Aviation.
What benefits does this new brand combination offer clients?
With greater technology, growing buying power, exciting brand communications and a global team of experts, PrivateFly offers the leading on-demand flight experience for customers, wherever and whenever they want to fly. With continued investment in its technology and 24/7 team under Directional Aviation, PrivateFly will continue to lead the way in industry innovation and best practice.
Clients can also subscribe to the PrivateFly weekly newsletter with latest updates, offers and insight. Other added value benefits include aircraft video tours and industry trend data; plus blogs and social media platforms.
What trust marks and credibility does PrivateFly offer?
As Skyjet combines with PrivateFly, clients are offered continued peace of mind via Sentient’s rigorously-vetted aircraft network. PrivateFly is also independently audited as an Argus certified broker and Wyvern Broker, and an active member of industry bodies including NBAA, EBAA and BACA plus a BBB (Better Business Bureau) accreditation ranking of A+. It has exceptionally high client satisfaction rankings, with a TrustScore of 9.8/10 on independent review platform Trustpilot, based on almost 600 client reviews.
Who are the leadership team behind PrivateFly?
PrivateFly's executive leadership team is headed up by CEO Adam Twidell, a former British Royal Air Force and private aviation pilot, who co-founded PrivateFly in 2008. Adam is a high-profile thought leader and regular media spokesperson for the business aviation industry. The Skyjet team remain with the business and join the existing PrivateFly teams in North America and Europe.
As part of OneSky, PrivateFly also operates within the overall group leadership of Directional Aviation, including its Chairman Kenn Ricci.
As an existing Skyjet client, do I still book my flights with the same way?
Yes, all existing clients of Skyjet will continue to speak with their dedicated account manager and will be offered the same personalized service. There is also the additional benefit of an experienced flight team in Europe, when you are looking to fly internationally.
I already have a flight booked with Skyjet. Does this affect my flight?
Not at all. All the details and terms of your flight remain exactly the same and as PrivateFly and Skyjet are already part of OneSky, you are dealing with the same group. You can continue to speak with your dedicated account manager about all the details of your flight. Although the brand is changing, this does not affect any details of the terms of your flight which remain the same as before, under Skyjet.
What about the Skyjet website and other channels?
Skyjet will now be called PrivateFly, so the website, social and other channels will shortly redirect to PrivateFly. You can continue to speak with your dedicated account manager (using the same direct telephone number as before). Their email address will change, but the original Skyjet email will continue to reach them too.
There is also a 24/7 team available at PrivateFly for support, at any time.
Any other questions?
Your dedicated account manager will happily answer any further questions you have about this change. Or feel free to direct any questions or feedback to PrivateFly's leadership directly via email to email@example.com.
